high altitudes it is suggested that you check with
your physician prior to making a reservation or visiting Parchers resort. Our

About Our
Accommodations New for 2008
Kitchen Equipment
Cabins with kitchenettes are furnished with dishes,
pots, pans, silverware, percolator style coffee maker, cutting board,
refrigerator/freezer, and a range. Our Mountain Cabins and Deluxe Cabin
are also equipped with an oven.
Maid Service & Linens
All of our cabins are housekeeping cabins and daily
maid service is not provided. Guests can obtain fresh
towels or sheets upon request.
Electrical Usage
Parchers Resort has a fully self-contained electrical
system as the remoteness of our location requires that we generate our
own electricity via a hydroelectric generator. This is both
environmentally friendly as well as efficient however we do have a
finite amount of electricity to power the resort so we ask that guests
refrain from using any high-usage electronic devices such as electric
heaters, toasters, microwaves, hair driers or electric coffee makers
while at the resort. All of our RV hookups have been outfitted
with 20 amp fuses to prevent any power interruptions. We
generate our own electricity and the generators are periodically shut
down for regular maintenance. so the use of sensitive electronic
equipment (computers etc.) is NOT recommended. Parchers Resort accepts
no liability for damage to electronic devices due to power surges..
Pet Policy
Parchers Resort is dog friendly so
long as the dog is friendly; however there is a $10 per night fee for
each pet. Cats are not permitted. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all
times. Guests must always clean up after their pet while on the resort
grounds, failure to comply with garner a $15 charge per incident. To
prevent damage to our cabins, dogs are not allowed to be left unattended
inside a cabin at any time. If you do choose to leave your pet
behind while you’re out fishing or exploring the canyon, keep your pet
tethered outside of the cabin. We ask that guests keep
their pets off of our beds at all times.
About Our
Location
Parchers Resort is located in the
Inyo National Forest at 9,260ft of elevation. If you are sensitive to
high altitude, you may want to consult your physician before visiting.
Our location in the National Forest offers the benefit of awe-inspiring
scenery. However, being in such a rural area also brings with it
wildlife such as chipmunks, field mice, marmots, birds, bears and
moths. This wildlife of course can make your stay with us special, but
every once in a while a chipmunk or field mouse has been known to get
curious and explore the insides of a cabin. This is also bear country;
please act accordingly.
The Parcher Cabins
Our cabins are designed for two to
six persons. All cabins have showers, hot water, propane heat &
toilets. Towels and linens are included with all cabins except our
Hiker Cabins. There are no phones in the cabins but we do have a
payphone at the resort. Our cabins do not come furnished with
televisions and do not have cable or high speed internet connection.
Cell phone, television and radio reception is non-existent, and it is a
beautiful thing!
