1 Pot, 1 Fry pan/skillet, 1
sauce pan, 1 percolator style coffee pot, silverware,
cutlery, spatulas, mixing spoon, bowls & plates, cups &

scrubbing pad and a range. Our Mountain Cabins, Deluxe
Cabin, and Paradise Cabins are also equipped with an oven. We do not allow
cooking inside of Cabin 1 or 6. Items such as ice,

There are no telephones
inside the cabins but we do have a payphone at the resort
for which a calling card is recommended. There is no cell
phone, television or radio reception in our canyon, and it
is a beautiful thing!!! Moderate cell phone reception is
available a few miles down the canyon for most carriers.
We do not currently have
Wi-Fi available for guests. Because of the remoteness of our
location, satellite internet is our only option and due to
the strict usage limitations of satellite internet carriers,
we cannot provide wireless internet to our customers at this
time (but we’re working on it).
Parchers Resort has a fully
self-contained electrical system as the remoteness of our
location requires that we generate our own electricity via a
hydroelectric generator. This is both environmentally
friendly as well as efficient.
However, we do have a
finite amount of electricity to power the resort so we ask
that guests refrain from using any high-usage electronic
devices such as electric heaters, toasters, microwaves,
hair driers or electric coffee makers while at the
resort. We do not recommend the use of sensitive electronic
equipment (computers etc.) as we do have occasional power
surges from our generator. Our RV hookups have been
outfitted with 20 amp fuses to prevent any power
interruptions. Our generators are periodically shut
down for regular maintenance so the use of sensitive
electronic equipment (computers etc.) is not recommended.
Parchers Resort accepts no liability for damage to
electronic devices due to power surges. Life support
devices such as dialysis machines etc. are not recommended
under any circumstances!
About Our Location
Parchers Resort is located
in the Inyo National Forest at 9,260ft of elevation. If you
are sensitive to high altitude, you may want to consult your
physician before visiting. Our location in the National
Forest offers the benefit of awe-inspiring scenery.
However, being in such a rural area also brings with it
wildlife such as chipmunks, field mice, marmots, birds,
bears and moths. This wildlife, of course, can make
your stay with us special, but every once in a while a
chipmunk or field mouse has been known to get curious and
explore the insides of a cabin. This is also bear country;
please act accordingly.
High Country Weather
High country weather is
very unpredictable but seasonal highs average in the 70’s
during the summer and in the 50’s or 60’s in the spring and
fall. Average lows are in the high 40’s during the summer
and in the low 30’s in the spring and fall. High and low
temps can fluctuate drastically from week to week and day to
day so we always recommend that our guests come prepared for
both cold and warm conditions to insure a pleasant stay.
Early season and late
season snow, and summer thunderstorms, are part of what make
the Sierra Nevada amazing, don’t be surprised if they visit
while you’re here.
