Arguably the most scenic spot in the canyon, Lake
Sabrina truly is some of the best scerery anywhere in
California when the fall color arrives. Tall granite
peaks, pristine alpine lake and a great variety of
color. Lake Sabrina, especially the grove on the east
shore, probably has a higher concentration of bright red
during the autumn than anywhere else in the
neighborhood. Exceptional views from the boat docks, the
cafe deck, the dam and even from the Sabrina Pass trail
make for splendid photographs and memories that will
last a lifetime.
At an elevation of 9150ft, Lake
Sabrina typically starts to develop substantial color
mid September and can remain spectacular well into
October if Mother Nature keeps the weather pleasant.

The far side of the dam near the spillway is a
beautiful place to capture the soft reflection of aspen along
the east shore.
