Meet the Smith Family
Originally from Orange County California the Smiths purchased Parchers Resort
& South Lake Boat Landing in 2006. With 50 years plus experience playing in the
outdoors their focus is now to help others experience the epic grandeur of the
Eastern Sierra. Meet the new management team of Parchers Resort.
Judy & Steve Smith - Having hiked all across the High Sierra
backcountry from Cottonwood to Yosemite, this well traveled couple has looked to
the Sierra as a safe haven from the hustle & bustle of city life for the past
30 years. Originally professional musicians, Steve & Judy switched gears as their
family grew and together built
Smith Chiropractic, a successful Chiropractic practice in Buena Park,
CA. Proud parents of five children,
songwriting, golfing, backpacking and now providing the best Sierra experience
possible are their passions.
Jared "Smitty" Smith - Formerly in management at a large IT
firm in Southern California, Jared now lives full-time in Bishop, CA. He has
lived to fish since he was a teenager, and while chasing the catch of a lifetime
in both fresh & saltwater, he has tried his luck from Florida to the east,
Alaska to the north, and Mexico to the south. His heart however, has always
been in the pristine lakes & streams of the High Sierra. Excited about this new
opportunity, Jared is dedicated to providing resort guests with only the best
Sierra memories.
Lane Smith - An avid angler with experience as a small engine
technician, Lane is a perfect fit to run our operation at South Lake. During 2006
and 2007 Lane learned South Lake front to back so that in 2008 he'll have all the tips
and spots to help you get on fish!
Evan Smith - Smitten by the Sierra bug as a boy, Evan is an
accomplished angler and brings a laid back attitude and a wealth of
personality to the table. Previously managing an outlet for a large retail chain
down south, Evan has joined the team and now lives full time in Bishop, CA. You'll see Evan at
Parchers & South Lake this summer working furiously to put people on fish.
